Taplins lived in the township of Elizabethtown near Addison. The family is
listed in the 1851 census as follows-
Augustus Taplin farmer born Canada age 30
Jane (Arnold) born Canada age 26
Charles R age 3
Rufus age 24
Malinda age 52 a widow
Ann age 19
Amanda age 16

>From the Glen Elbe Cemetery -
Rufus Taplin died Feb 7,1883 age 75 years
his wife Lucy Stowell died Sept 24,1883 age 47 years
Henry Taplin 1780 - 1843
his wiffe Melinda Huntley 1801 - 1874
Their son Henry 1825 - 1896

Augustus Taplin died July 8,1907 age 85 yrs 11 mon
His wife Jane Arnold died Mar 25,1915 age 89 yr 9 mon
Ella Taplin 1861 - 1876
Emma Taplin 1852 - 1877
Malvina Herrington wife of C R Taplinn 1850 - 1887
Their son Ernest 1887 - 1887

>From the death registration Malinda Taplin died Apr 13,1874 age 73 years
widow of Henry Taplin, born in USA. Informant Augustus Taplin,
elizabethtown.
