George Washington HASTINGS came to Elizabethtown circa 1815 with at least one son, Elizur/Eleazer HASTINGS. This is my direct line. I know Elizur/Eleazer had sisters: Emily, Teressa, Margaret and Mary Ann.
1. Emily HASTINGS married: John Robbins and they (later) moved to Minnesota and on to CA.
2. Teressa HASTINGS married: Thomas Alfred Judd and took off on the Mormon migration
3. Margaret HASTINGS Married: William Henry Deacon, son of James Deacon
4. Mary Ann HASTINGS Married: John Deacon, the brother of above.

There is a J. HASTINGS who owns property next to Elizur/Eleazer's in No. Crosby. I would love to know who the J. HASTINGS is. Was he Elizur/Eleazer's brother or his father, George Washington HASTINGS brother or cousein or WHAT? George Washington HASTINGS (d. 1844) and wife, Margaret (Gay) HASTINGS, (d. 1858) are buried in the Westport Baptist Cemetery, I don't believe there are headstones that survived but a great grandaughter who actually saw the headstones has testified they were there.

E. Hastings was shown in the old Atlases of North Crosby (1860 about) on concession VII, lot 12 and conc VI lot 12 near Sand Lake; also a J Hastings on conc. VII lot 12.
