KOEPKE,Carl; PA,USA; 1853-1888

Researching my gggrandfather Carl KOEPKE who emigrated to Ashland, PA in
1853. He and wife Fredericka HENDRICKS (HENDRES) were both from Prussia, but
I don't know what town. I've been told that Fuhlendorf may be a possibility.
I don't know if they were married before or after they arrived in the USA.
They had several children, and I believe at least one of them may have
relocated to the Duluth, MN area.

Somewhere along the line, the spelling was changed to KEOPKE.

John KOEPKE (KEOPKE) was born in 1858 in Ashland, but moved to Iowa and
finally ended up near Joplin, Missouri.

Herman KOEPKE - Born in Ashland, PA on 25 JUN 1860
August KOEPKE - born in Ashland, PA on 6 FEB 1862
Alvina KOEPKE - born in Ashland, PA on 25 JUN 1863
Emma KOEPKE - born in Ashland, PA on 18 APR 1865 - married (1) Frederick
BROWN and (2) William TAUFMAN(N)
Bertha KOEPKE - born in Ashland, PA on 21 FEB 1867 - married William
SCHWARTZ
Clara KOEPKE - born in Ashland, PA on 10 JUL 1868 - married Christian
NEETZOW

Three remaining children died at ages 2 months to 3 1/2 years.
Hope some of this information rings a bell with someone.

Dan Keopke
