Hello Yall,

I just jumped in the coversation going on about the
Young's. And already got a response to deal with the
McFarland's.

I am searching for documentation on the things I have
garnered from relatives, the net, and other persons
that have been so very helpful. Here is a short
version of my Tree:

Reported to me but not acutually verified:
Capt. Alexander McFarland b. abt 1749-50 d. 1812
Conway, Arkansas. Married May 20, 1785 in Washington
Co., VA to Lydia Priest of Washington County VA b.
abt. 1755 d. 1827 Conway, Arkansas.
Children:
Blassingame Harvey McFarland
Maranda McFarland married Benjamin Murphy
Lydia McFarland married Ruben J. Blount
JAMES C. McFARLAND married 1804 Overton/Fentress
county TN (1. Caroline or Rebecca Rule, have never
known which or maybe both names were right.(2.
Pricilla Mullinix Pritchard (3. Barbara Young
I am pretty sure both Priscilla and Barabara had
children from previous marriages, but all the
children. It may be that Barbara was not a wife: but
a cousin in East Texas had written to me years ago
with the information.

Wesley McFarland was the son of James C. and Rebecca
He married Elizabeth Atkins(on) I am pretty positive
now that it is Atkinson as there were plenty of them
in Fentress County but am not sure of her parentage.
Wesley and Elizabeth had the following children:

Rhoda McFarland married Thomas York
James Harrison McFarland married Nancy A ??

Alexander, Rhoda and Rebecca all ended up in Smith
County, Texas in a little town called Flint and the
surrounding areas. Alexander died January 19, 1901
Rhoda died in 1903 and i haven't found out when
Rebecca (Becky) died but she and Elisha are in the
1920 census for Smith County. My Aunt Gracie is about
the only one alive today that remembers all of these
folks. She is the daughter of Frank E. McFarland and
Ettie Elnora Snodgrass, grand daughter of Alex
(Miller) and Susanna McFarland.

It may be possible that parents of Capt. Alexander
McFarland were William McFarland and Elizabeth Gibson
who came from Pennsylvania to Virginia

leading to documentation will be greatly appreciated.
